| The core mission of PIDX is to improve business efficiency within the oil and gas industry by promoting interoperability between IT systems. This interoperability is enabled by eBusiness standards that software applications use to automate otherwise manual and time-intensive processes. Over time, PIDX has developed an extensive library of EDI X12 and FTP standards which are still being used to support oil and gas business. In an effort to support new technologies, PIDX has, over the past several years, developed and published several XML specifications that support automation of various aspects of the oil and gas supply chain. In 2005, PIDX activities expanded to include health, safety and environmental data. API RP 76, Contractor Safety Management for Oil and Gas Drilling and Production Operations, is the industry standard for contractor safety qualification. PIDX has developed a standard XML message to support this standard. In addition, a corresponding Excel template that generates the PIDX XML message is available and may be used in conjunction with or instead of the XML message. eCommerce Message Standards XML EDI Industry Codes Sets CIMIS PIDX Maintained Industry Codes List Classification EDI Electronic Safety Data XML Standard Safety Data Questionnaire Safety Data Questionnaire Excel Template API RP 76 Contractor Safety Management for Oil and Gas Drilling and Production Operations PIDX Work Groups Business Process Work Group Business Message Work Group Downstream Work Group Global Business Practices Work Group Classification Work Group Resources Current Projects Petroleum Industry Data Dictionary (PIDD) White Papers API Standards, Publications and Services PendingStandards page The following links will take you to revised pending standards.
