PIDX realizes its objectives through its Committees, Subcommittees, Workgroups and Specific Interest Groups. Members are encouraged to participate in the Subcommittees, Workgroups, and Specific Interest Groups to insure that PIDX is meeting your business objectives. A brief description of the PIDX Committees, Subcommittees and Specific Interest Groups are provided below. Click on the links for more information.

1. PIDX General and Executive Committees

• The PIDX General Committee is responsible for the overall direction and activities of PIDX. Each member company of PIDX has a voting representative on the PIDX General Committee.

• The Executive Committee of PIDX is the planning and operational governance body of the PIDX General Committee.


2. PIDX Subcommittees

• The PIDX Standards & Guidelines Subcommittee is responsible for standards development and maintenance activities. This subcommittee works with the Specific Interest Groups to insure that standards are developed that meet the business needs of the oil and natural gas industry. There are 5 workgroups within the PIDX Standards Subcommittee: Business Messages, Business Processes, Classification and Business Practices Work Group.

• The PIDX Implementation and Adoption Subcommittee is responsible for overseeing the adoption and implementation of PIDX standards. The subcommittee consists of the Chairs of the PIDX Specific Interest Groups.

• The PIDX Education & Operations Subcommittee is the subcommittee charged with developing and maintaining quality educational opportunities for PIDX members and to market and promote PIDX membership. It also works with the PIDX Secretariat to insure that PIDX operational needs are being met.

• The PIDX Industry Relations Subcommittee is charged with developing broad industry participation in PIDX , maintain a clear understanding of industry needs and business requirements to guide PIDX activities and solutions development, and ensure that PIDX activities and deliverables address the unique needs of each key global region, as well as the integrated needs of the industry.

PIDX Europe will represent EU interests in the development, convergence and implementation of electronic business standards for the oil and natural gas industry.

3. PIDX Specific Interest Groups (SIGs)

The PIDX Specific Interest Groups (SIGs) are the user groups of PIDX. These groups develop the business case for standards development within PIDX, advocating for the development of standards within their area of expertise and working with the PIDX Standards Subcommittee to develop standards that meet the need of the industry. The SIGs provide the subject matter expertise while the Standards Subcommittee provides the technical expertise during the standards development process. The active PIDX SIGs are listed below.
